The Global Scholars Club of Newburyport High School’s mission is to provide students with opportunities to learn about the world beyond their community, and to learn how their community and they, themselves, are a part of that world. Through monthly meetings, special cultural events, virtual exchanges and international travel, the goal of the Global Scholars Club is to provide students with the skills necessary to begin their journey as globally aware citizens.
They will:
- Investigate the world beyond their immediate environment, framing significant problems and conducting, when applicable, well-crafted and age-appropriate research.
- Recognize perspectives, others’ and their own, articulating and explaining such perspectives thoughtfully and respectfully.
