West Point - Summer Leaders Experience
At West Point we develop Leaders of Character, and we are looking for high-achieving young people who are in great standing with their school and community, and who want to challenge themselves. Please see the attached flyer to share with your students, educators, and parents!
- SLE is a one-week program for current Juniors (High School Class of 2025) to visit West Point in June.
- Students in this program get to spend the week with our cadets, live in the barracks, and eat in the mess hall.
- Learn about West Point’s world class academics by trying 4 of our 17 academic workshops.
- Learn about military training and becoming a Leader of Character at West Point by completing two military days to include rappelling, Zodiac boats, combatives (like Jiu-Jitsu) training and more!
- Challenge themselves physically by attempting the Candidate Fitness Assessment, conducting physical training, and sports.
- Complete their admissions interview with a cadet.
- Spend the week making friends with other students from all over the US who are applying to West Point.
All the students that I have spoken with have really enjoyed this program and they especially enjoy interacting with the cadets. Your students may sign up for this program now by using the QR code in the attached “2024 SLE FLYER” or directly at westpoint.edu. We will accept applications until April 15th. SLE is competitive and not all who apply are offered to attend.

Make an Impact on the 2025 Global Medical Academy
Greetings from Global Medical Squads, a non-profit organization designed for High School students to get involved in our international healthcare work while gaining valuable medical skills and making an impact by empowering under-resourced communities abroad!Global Medical Academy summer programs are 8-day medical service trips open to individuals, pairs, or chapters of 3+ participants (with one free faculty/advisor w/ 3-6 students and 2 free w/ 7+) to join an elite cohort from across the country. Each Academy program is staffed and highly supervised by a professional in-country team including Coordinators, Paramedic, Drivers, and our Medical Team. Academy programs are open to graduated sophomores-seniors (graduated seniors are welcome!) with Basic CPR/First Aid certifications and basic medical assisting (taking blood pressure, etc.) experience.Global Medical Academy programs deliver primary health care services to under resourced communities by providing clinics alongside our physicians, nurses and pharmacists to provide patient consults and prescribe treatment for acute illnesses. During the clinics, students will gain 30+ hours of documented medical service hours assisting with triage, shadowing the physicians, providing education workshops, helping to distribute medicine in the pharmacy, and help to build capacity of community health workers on chronic illness screening techniques.Check out and share the Global Medical Academy video and 2025 Global Medical Academy (All) PPT Presentation as well as country specific resources below for each country to learn more about these amazing opportunities open to students passionate about healthcare!
