No-cost tuition program launched by UMass Dartmouth
We’re excited to introduce a new opportunity for your students that will help reduce financial barriers. Beginning with the Fall 2025 semester, the UMass Dartmouth Deal covers full tuition and mandatory fees for up to four years for Massachusetts students who demonstrate financial need.
Eligible students will also have access to financial literacy workshops and financial counseling services and have opportunities for scholarships and grants that will help cover textbooks, housing, and other educational expenses.
To qualify, students must:- Being a legal resident of Massachusetts
- Have a family income of $75,000 or less (verified by FAFSA)
- Be an undergraduate student enrolled full-time in an on-campus degree program (12 credits or more)
- Have a minimum high school GPA of 2.7 or equivalent combination of high school GPA & SAT/ACT test scores, if a first-year student, or be a transfer student
If you have students who you think would benefit from the UMass Dartmouth Deal, let them know that all they have to do is apply to UMassD and file a FAFSA. We’ll notify eligible students of their tuition guarantee status. There’s no separate application process. It’s that easy.
